In line with the new market trends and within the scope of the new retail concept, the company MOL Slovenia in 2018 opened 34th service station with the Fresh Corner in Slovenia – one of the main features of MOL Group’s new shop concept, with special attention to coffee, fresh food and convenience goods. Fresh ideas were what it was needed! Sicer then, we are often running campaigns: new Fresh Corner openings, national awarness campaigns, seasonal campaigns etc.

Fresh Corner

The project

MOL is a Hungarian energy group that chose Novelus to support its expansion in Slovenia. We deliver all communication tasks and local creative support whenever a new service station is opened.

The Challenge

Every service station opening poses the same problem: how to attract local customers and redirect them to buy their gasoline at a MOL station.

The Solution

We focused customer attention on the “Fresh Corner” which is the name for the new shop concept of MOL. We made drinking coffee, eating fresh food or buying convenience products an attractive experience by establishing a lovely hostess as brand ambassador. We turned her into a brand icon that allowed scaling. She was physically present in the shop, offered degustation, and showed customers how to win a game prize. We employed local OOH media, targeted radio and cooperated with local events. As the number of service stations grew, we were able to use efficient national advertising and ran seasonal campaigns; we also created many look-alike ambassadors throughout Slovenia.

The Result

No better result than complete client satisfaction and continuous assignments of new tasks.
