Hotel Mercure Maribor City

The project

Hotel Mercure Maribor City is in the very center of town. It caters primarily to business travelers and thus typically offers a Business Club, a Wellness Centre, a decent restaurant and a cocktail bar.

The Challenge

When the former Pyramid Hotel was bought, we were asked to help integrate the new hotel into the Mercure family.

The Solution

The brief demanded a serious, yet also chic look. Studying the typical visitor to this hotel we chose a new visual identity that based on a key attribute of the country which had never been exploited before: Slovenia is home to the oldest wine in the world. In cooperation with the architect we redesigned the entire lobby and refreshed all rooms with new details.

The Result

Mercure completely renovated the hotel choosing our design and also the special wallpaper which we created and which carried the wine story.
