Dundee Precious Metals - Open Door Day at Chelopech Mine

The project

Dundee Precious Metals is the concessionaire of two gold mines in the country – Chelopech and Krumovgrad. The company is introducing a pilot high-tech smart center for full automation and operation management at the Chelopech mine, which is world-class.

The Challenge

Invite reporters into the mine and show them the WiFi, and the miners working with tablets, not axes.

The Solution

We took 15 journalists from 12 media to the Chelopech mine to witness the high-tech working environment underground. The idea was media people to understand from personal experience that Dundee is a modern, responsible, high-tech mining company strongly oriented towards new smart business models and employee safety.

The Result

Huge media interest. All the journalists present made positive reports about what was seen in the mine, including many videos that reinforced the positive image of the company. Among the media that published materials were www.mediapool.bg, www.dir.bg, www.offnews.bg, www.money.bg, Economy Magazine, 24 Hours, Darik Radio. Dozens of media outlets reprinted the articles and reposted the videos.
